Fall Cheerleading tryout practices begin!

The practices for fall cheerleading tryouts begin this week. They will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15pm - 5:30pm. Please arrange to be picked up immediately after practice ends. Tryout slots will be available after school on Friday and from 10am-1pm on Saturday. Below you will find the links to cheer and dance videos for the tryouts. Dance video: Ne-Yo song: Cheer #1: Can't Hide Cheer #2: B-E-A-T those Eagles! (Toe touch at the end instead of liberty) Cheer #3: Beat them, Defeat them, Beat that team Requirements for fall cheerleading tryouts: Must attend at least 2 full practice days of the 4 offered. (Unless in a school sport that conflicts with practice time currently. Extra practice times can be created for those students only.) 1 stunt 1 tumble 3 cheers 3 rallies 1 dance 1 self made crowd cheer Essay: Must be at least 2 paragraphs in length. (A paragraph is at least 3 sentences.) Essay must include: Why you believe you would be an important part of the team. Why you are interested in Cheerleading. What strengths can you offer the team. How will you be a standout STUDENT athlete. What goals will you set for yourself during the season. Turn it in when you try out on either Friday or Saturday.

Dragon Hockey Year End Awards Banquet Who: Dragon Hockey Players, Coaches, Managers, Cheerleaders & their Families When: Sunday, March 17th @ 5:00pm Where: Pine City High School 7th Grade Commons What: Potluck Meal & Awards Banquet Please bring the assigned items by grade level to the banquet. Don't forget to bring your serving utensils! If anyone would like to bring in an extra potluck item Please do so. Cheer camp and end of season:

The cheer camp with elem. students went really well. Thanks, girls, for all your help! We had a BOG group of 50! The season has come to an end. We will have a few optional practices in the near future to finish taping the cheers from the season for the dvd. I will post the dates when I know them. Tryouts will be help the end of this month or early April. It will be posted on the blog and will be in the school announcements, keep your eyes and ears open! All cheerleaders will need to hand in their uniforms, warm ups, poms and any other borrowed materials after our individual pictures are taken. I will keep you informed of a date after school for the photo session. Pizza pub end of season banquet for cheerleading will be next week. (Date: to be determined.) Schedule update:

So, tonight we have the camp again right after school. Katie, Danni, Kallie and Maria will head over to Chris' foods to take a picture for the paper. Tomorrow camp until 5:30. Friday: No camp after school, however, we will practice until 4:30pm so be in the media center ASAP! Meet in the cafeteria at 6:30pm to go through dance with the munchkins then Senior night for Katie and her Parents, Stunting for starting line up and halftime performance with the little girls. We will go up to the multi after halftime to take pictures with the little girls and the Dragon mascot. Saturday: Potluck/ end of season dinner at my house 1-4pm
